The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally...

As a child, I remember thinking that everyone was my friend. There were no restrictions. You just had to 1. be the same age (or close enough) 2. be in the same place and 3. be there at the same time. It was like the paths of comets. Sometimes you collide, sometimes you don’t. Afterward, when the moment was gone, and the parents gathered up the children… you said your...

me: I can't believe my tire just did that!
kara: It's okay though.. because we're going to focus on the good stuff not on the bad stuff.

I was 29 before I had my first severe run in with hatred. I guess I should count myself lucky. Not to say that I was oblivious to race relations before. On the contrary, daily life in America seems to be a constant reminder of how far we have come and how far we have yet to go. Hatred seems like such a harsh word…doesn’t it? But what is racism but self-indulgent hatred?
I grew...

The funny thing about blogging, for me… is trying to reveal “enough” about myself while, simultaneously, trying (very) hard not to reveal too much about myself. It’s a tightrope. I have seen how the appearance of anonymity afforded by the computer screen has deluded some into a seriously false sense of reality. There’s something journal-like about these entries. ...

New Moon Activities →
A good time for magick that deals with beginnings or future growth: new projects, jobs, friendship, love, etc. (You may want to take note of the astrological sign the moon is in. For example, if the New Moon is in Libra, spells dealing with new friendship are ideal. Refer to Time Correspondencesfor more information.)
The New Moon is a good time for cleansing. Perform cleansing and purification...
I can feel my mind and heart beginning to race. My [seemingly] insatiable quest of the unknown propels me in so many different directions. I find it hard to slow down. I have so much I want to create. These visions in my mind… are vivid, dancing scenes of potential. They haunt me. Today is a good day.

– Democrats call for an investigation of law firm, 3 tech companies
While Georgia has produced more than its fair share of horrible politicians (Bobby Franklin, Paul Broun Jr., Newt) the few good ones we have (like Johnson and John Lewis) are pretty damn good. Nice to see a GA Democrat leading the...
